Saturday 25 July 2026, Beveridge Suite, Adam Smith Theatre 2.00 pm

Jenne discovered a love of jazz aged 13, listening to Humphrey Lyttelton’s “Best of Jazz” on BBC Radio 2. With a background of piano lessons and choral/gospel singing from the age of 6, she has studied jazz singing with Jay Clayton, Lianne Carroll and Ian Shaw and has been commended by Steve Voce of Jazz Journal. For many years she has performed in various ensembles in central Scotland, in a wide variety of settings, including several residencies in Edinburgh.   Cameron Buchanan started playing guitar as a teenage rock & blues fan but after discovering Joe Pass, Martin Taylor and Mike Stern (with whom he has studied), knew that jazz would always be his first love. He studied music at Leeds College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama and now teaches guitar at the University of Highlands and Islands as well as teaching privately. As a performer, he has appeared on BBC broadcasts, at many jazz festivals and at some of the country’s most prestigious corporate venues. Alex McClure was initially inspired to take up drums after listening to Ginger Baker in the 1960s whose style blended rock and jazz and he continues to be inspired by the great jazz drummers of all time. He joins Jenne and Cameron to add percussion to the mix.   Cameron, Jenne and Alex will play a set that has jazz at its core but which reflects the many colours of jazz, drawing on musical styles as varied as blues through Latin, swing, pop, rock and fusion.

Tickets are £11.50 from the Adam Smith Box Office or online from OnFife.
