Saturday 1 June at 2.00 pm. Doors open 1.30 pm.

We are delighted to bring Saturday’s programme to the newly-refurbished Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy. We present a full day of music with three performances in the intimate Beveridge Suite.

Kicking off the day in swing style is Dunfermline-based Tom Gordon, one of Scotland’s most in-demand drummers. Learning his trade with the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra amongst other youth bands, Tom then graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has played with a huge range of leading British and American names, notably being first call for the BBC Radio Big Band for over 20 years.

He has gathered together some of Scotland’s top jazz musicians to create his Kansas City 7. The band member list reads a bit like a who’s who of current Scottish Jazz:
Tom Gordon – Drums, Lorne Cowieson – Trumpet, Dick Lee – Reeds, Phil O’Malley – Trombone, Conor Smith – Guitar, David Patrick – Piano, and Ewan Hastie – Bass

The band pay tightly arranged classics from the golden era of swing, mainly Count Basie and Benny Goodman, but with a few others thrown in. This will be a fantastic start to the day!

Tickets for all Beveridge Suite performances are ONLY available from the Adam Smith box office. Until 1 May grab yourself a special deal of £35 for all three performances, or individual tickets for £14. After 1 May only individual tickets will be available at £15.
